Hi. My personal experience began as a cadet with British Airways in 1998. I would not have been able to afford the training costs and the cadetship gave me an amazing opportunity to be trained as a pilot, with a career waiting for me as long as I was successful.
As a pilot with no jet hours you will be on a lower salary than an experienced direct entry pilot and I don't know how long you would be asked to commit to the airline. It was 5 years when I completed my training in 2000. I am still grateful for the opportunity after flying for British Airways for 24 years.
I wish you luck if you decide to apply.
