What are the learning & development opportunities for the office staff?

Hi, There are many learning opportunities available to office based staff at British Airways, including a large number of courses for new entrants to the business. In my area, there is an external professional organisation that we are subscribed to which make available many types of courses related to our profession. From a corporate point of view, there a number of mandatory on-line courses, eg Health & Safety, that all staff must undertake on a regular basis as well as a whole list of voluntary courses that be enrolled onto either on-line or classroom based. There is also the opportunity in many departments to shadow colleagues, looking at what and how they do.

We're very fortunate to have our very own Global Learning Academy which offers a number of in-person and virtual learning interventions to help with your learning and development. We also have access to Thrive at British Airways, which is a useful tool powered by Udemy where you can learn and develop new and existing skills to help your career soar to new heights. There are also opportunities to participate in coaching, enrol into leadership development courses and so much more. Hello! - Thanks for the question. There is endless opportunities for learning. Dependent on your role there is mandatory learning for you to complete including Health & Safety, Security and other corporate learnings. However, we have a fantastic collaboration with Thrive and Udemy who host a HUGE number of learning offerings. An example is currently i am working on the Six Sigma qualification and includes the exam and (hopefully) certificate at the end!. In addition there may be oppurtunities for other courses dependent on your role.
