Additional information

I am currently in Year 12 and am definitely keen on applying for the Speedbird program this year and next, however on the unlikely chance I get selected this year, will I continue to study in school until I have finished my A-Level qualifications or must I leave school immediately.

Hi Rhys.

To be eligible this year you would need to be 18 by 1st January 2026. If you meet this requirement course dates are not yet set, and while we will try and assist with start dates to accommodate you we cannot guarantee this and there is a chance you would not be able to complete your A-levels.

I hope this helps your decision making and we look forward to receiving your application.

Best wishes

Hi Kate, I really appreciate you coming back to me. I will be 18 before the 1st January 2026, and so am eligible for application this year. However, are you aware of the previous start dates for the actual stages of training, as knowing this information may greatly aid in my choice as to whether I apply this year, or differ it to the next.

Many thanks,

Rhys

Hi Rhys -

Whatever the dates may have been last year, may not necessarily repeat for the next, plus there will also be lots of courses that run throughout this Academy intake; it would be impossible to know at this stage.

It's great news that you are eligible for this year and hope to see you soon, should you decide you would like to.
