What are the characteristics of your most successful employees?

Our most successful colleagues are curious minded, engaged and passionate about what they do. Whatever challenges are faced, they always approach every task with a can-do attitude and think of the benefit for the customer and the business. Our colleagues are driven to succeed and we all want to see the airline continue to thrive.

The most successful colleagues in BA are always willing to learn, innovate and provide support for the business beyond their job description. There the odd tasks that come up that people are reluctant to take on because it's novel, uncertain and seem mundane. However, if you take ownership of this and give your best, you will stand out from your peers and receive the due recognition from your leaders. I took on the role of the legal department wellbeing champion in 2022 and it was an unwritten role so I had to create the system and structure. Engaging my creativity in the email nudges and events organised for the team has made me stand out beyond my day to day role and it has been extremely engaging for the team and equally rewarding for me.
