Hi Devia, as somebody that lives in the South East with an 80 mile commute to and from the Head office, British Airways have been supportive of my location by offering the following;

Hybrid working (within my team) means I don't need to be in the office 5 days a week and can normally choose the days which work best for me and my face to face meetings. Before Hybrid working I wouldn't have been able to commit to this commute 5 days a week, so this has really opened up opportunities for people who live further afield.

Flexi Hours meaning I can start and end my day at staggered times to avoid the rush hour commute when I'm in the office.

British Airways also have offices stationed around the country, with a call centre based in Newcastle, engineering hubs in Cardiff & many other regional opportunities. Within the London/South East area, there are also subsidiary's, like EuroFlyer, Cityflyer & BA Holidays with offices in and around London & the South East.

My advice would be never to turn down an opportunity for your dream role due to your location - you can always discuss flexible working during your application. As mentioned you can also filter for opportunities at our subsidiaries in the South East by updating the location filter on our Job Opportunities page.
