Payroll Team Manager

Hi Alex,

There are a number of ways that employees are valued by British Airways as a whole and by managers and colleagues. We operate an "Above and Beyond" platform where we can recognise colleagues for a job well done. This is monitored by managers who will then add their own comment.

Monthly and annual one to one meetings with your manager, are another way to communicate good work and an annual recognition event to celebrate for colleagues who have received multiple recognitions on Above and Beyond.

Regards,

Ken

Communications

Hi Alex, thank you for your question! In addition to Ken's response, we have a wide variety of channels for communicating with our colleagues, to ensure we can effectively communicate to the numerous roles we have across the business, from operational to desk-based colleagues. Our colleague Intranet, OurBA, houses information colleagues may need at their fingertips!

Hi Alex,

Not only do we have the opportunity to join in with festivities and celebrations for special cultural dates, we also share knowledge and business updates. At Head Office, each directorate has quarterly forums that involves our colleagues. Last quarter, we demonstrated our achievements with a no-slide policy. This meant we were encouraged to be creative about sharing all the wonderful things our teams do that impact colleagues from behind the scenes.

Wow, thank you all for your prompt replies! It's great to hear about the things happening with regard to internal communications, I'm doing some research in preparation for a job application, and your insights have been incredibly helpful. I'm still learning about BA, so I may have more questions later on. Thanks again!"
