Additional information

I completed a 3-year Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course in India and 1 year as a Trainee Technician. My career then moved in a different direction, but I am keen to return. I now live in the UK with right to work/study. Could you advise me on the training/steps to resume my AME career with BA?

Hello Arun,

We're pleased that you're interested in joining British Airways engineering.

  • Based on your background, you may be eligible to apply for a Mechanic position. However, suitability will depend on how recently you have been active in the industry and the relevance of your experience.
  • Alternatively, our Cabin Mechanic Development Programme could be a more appropriate pathway for re-entry into the field.
  • You might also wish to explore our Part-66 Category A Licence Apprenticeship, which offers a structured route into aircraft maintenance for those looking to build or refresh their technical skills.

To ensure you don’t miss future opportunities, we recommend signing up to receive job alerts. This way, you will receive notifications as soon as new engineering recruitment campaigns go live.

We hope you found this helpful and wish you the best of luck in your journey to join us.
