Cabin Crew
Hi, thanks for your question.
To apply for a cabin crew role with British Airways, there are a few essential requirements you’ll need to meet. These include being 18 or over at the time of application, fluent in spoken and written English, holding a valid passport that allows unrestricted global travel, and being able to reach 2.01 metres on the vertical arm reach test. You’ll also need to meet our uniform standards and be able to work a 24/7 shift pattern that includes early starts, late finishes and time away from home.
In terms of preparation, a great place to start is by building strong people-facing experience. Roles in hospitality, retail, healthcare or customer service help you develop key skills like communication, teamwork, empathy and resilience, all of which are really important in the cabin crew role. It’s also worth learning as much as you can about the job so you understand the lifestyle, training and responsibilities.
You can read more on the Cabin Crew FAQ page and make sure you’re signed up for job alerts so you’ll know as soon as recruitment opens.
I hope that helps 😊
Dan
