Cabin Crew
Hi Ashraqat, thanks for your question.
There are a few key skills and qualities that really help you succeed as cabin crew. Strong communication is essential, as you’ll be supporting customers from all over the world and working closely with different colleagues on every flight. Being calm under pressure is also important, especially when things don’t go to plan. Teamwork sits at the heart of the role, as the crew rely on one another throughout every stage of the journey.
Empathy and good customer care matter too, as people fly for many different reasons, and part of the job is helping them feel comfortable, safe and looked after. Resilience is another valuable skill, as the hours and travel can sometimes be demanding.
You can develop these qualities through any people-facing role, such as hospitality, retail, healthcare or volunteering. These experiences help you build confidence, communication, problem-solving and the ability to work well with others.
You can read more about the role on the Cabin Crew FAQ page and stay up to date by registering for job alerts.
I hope that helps 😊
Dan
