One of our key behaviours is to be curious and open minded. With that BA offer a wealth of opportunity for training and Development.
Firstly we have Thrive. This hosts a wealth of development opportunities for self led learning. In addition to this we have the BA better leader pathways for aspiring or current leaders which I am currently part of.
Closer to home there is opportunities to take courses more applicable to your role which your manager will discuss with you.
I have been lucky enough to gain my NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety which was funded by BA.

Within my directorate, we have a clear career pathway that we are put on when we move into our roles. In the first year, you gain the expertise and experience and showcase what you have done by linking this back to the career pathway that is set out, to demonstrate you have achieved the experience to enter into the next level. They range from, Consolidating, Doing and Executive Doing. I have found this to be a really efficient way to learn and move up to the next experience level, within manageable steps that aren't rushed. You are not expected to demonstrate all key aspects on the pathway when you join but are given ample time to develop these skills. There are also Senior & Lead pathway levels you can apply for when you demonstrate the key behaviors for this pathway, this can be done at your own pace and is completely voluntary if you feel you are ready to do so.
Outside of my directorate there are lots of different courses we can apply to via our online learning and development portal Ascend, this can be the Ability to execute course or inclusive leadership course, there are loads to choose from to upskill you in the areas you are interested in developing.
