My onboarding experience was welcoming but slightly daunting. It was a lot to take in at first, with British Airways' being my first full time role and having never worked in Aviation let alone engineering before. However we were given time to learn and settle in through classroom based training before being rolled out into our roles across Engineering. Unlike coming into the business into a full time role, Apprenticeship and Graduate schemes are set up differently, to almost ease you into the business. You have the support of your Apprenticeship/ Graduate Manager as well as your placement line Manager to onboard you into your placement and to the wider organisation.
