Fare Product Specialist

Having already had a background within travel and previous commercial roles, this meant I already had some great transferable skills for my current role, I was confident analysing data sets, and aware of the workings of the travel industry. My role is focused on the product we give our partner leisure agents and having worked for a variety of travel agents before I was aware of the product British Airways offered in this field, and also aware of the technical systems that agents use which really gave me the upper hand coming into this role.

My top tip for finding a role that is suitable for you is to sign up to the job alerts, and be patient and keep searching. Roles are constantly added to the recruitment site and it may take time to find the perfect fit for you. I wasn't 100% sure of what the role involved when i applied, but it sounded interesting and my skill set matched the requirements. Within my team (Product & Programme) we look after everything from loyalty, ancillary, and corporate product, so I was allocated the Leisure role as that played to my strengths and I feel it was a perfect fit for me with the experience I already had.
