Cabin Crew

Hi Bauyrzhan,

Thanks for your question.

Engagement is very important to us at British Airways and there are lots of approaches and initiatives employed to engage with cabin crew.

We have our company-wide intranet site providing us with updates and stories from around the business. There are a range of digital and paper publications specific to our cabin crew community and other areas of the business. Our cabin crew leadership team also holds Q&A sessions around questions / concerns / suggestions our crew community has. Our scheduling team provides monthly updates on our trip bids and rosters, which crew find very informative. There are also numerous opportunities to engage with other areas of the business, such as secondment opportunities, competitions, volunteering for British Airways with our charity partnership Flying Start and in schools and colleges, which is very rewarding.

There are of course many more engagement opportunities if you want to take advantage of them - but how engaged you want to be ultimately comes from you.

I hope that answers your question.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi, thanks for asking about engagement at British Airways. I'd like to add to what Dan has mentioned by emphasizing that the company also places a strong focus on individual development. For example, British Airways runs various initiatives around personal and professional growth, including access to training, mentorship programs, and internal forums to share ideas and experiences.

The culture within the cabin crew community is very collaborative, with frequent peer-to-peer feedback and support, which helps foster strong team dynamics. Additionally, there are frequent leadership updates from the senior management team, providing transparency and opportunities for employees to voice their feedback and see real changes come to life.

Ultimately, there's a strong sense of community at British Airways, and whether it’s through formal channels or more casual interactions, you’ll find plenty of ways to stay engaged. Hope that provides further insight!
