We ask for GCSE equivalents and, each year, we get many applicants that apply with qualifications from other countries. As long as they are recognised and deemed equal, the certificates will be accepted. Using the below link, you will be able to check the eligibility there.
Hopefully they satisfy the criteria and I hope his exams go well.
