I’d like to know if you feel valued as an employee working for BA and if so why?

Hi Jazz.
As a pilot in a large airline we are part of a varied team of individuals and every day is different. Value from my work comes from my colleagues and doing a good job for them and our customers and this is where job satisfaction lies in my opinion. The old adage you get out what you put in is very true.
As pilots we tend to work with a level of autonomy within our ever changing team, however support is available if you need it. We have opportunities to vary our lifestyle and we can get involved in various parts of the business if we choose to do so.
Our management want a happy work force alongside business success and I feel that this has been a particular focus over the last few years. Honestly, I have had times in my career when I have not felt this but now I feel very positive that as a company, and with our leadership, we are getting better and stronger.
Overall I can say that, yes I do, but much of that comes from yourself and the effort you put in to become a part of the British Airways team.
I hope this answers your question!
Kate
