Hey Thomas -
A great question!
Personally, I think the career progression is unparalleled. I joined in 2014, and by 2018 I was operating as a Captain. For those that decided a command wasn't for them, they were already flying 777s around the world. The rate of career progression is fantastic and the options once you reach the seniority you need to change fleet/seat are vast. Additionally, you have the option of management, recruitment, CRM training, simulator and/or line training, mentoring or solely focusing on your duties as a pilot. There is no pressure for extra responsibilies like this and you really can shape your future in the way that you'd like, even a base change to London Gatwick is an option.
When it come to training, British Airways is renowned for its excellent training culture. It is constantly evolving and there are some truly fantastic trainers here, ones that can impart knowledge in such a way that is absorbable and adaptable, depending on the trainees needs.
If you were thinking of making an application, I would highly recommend it.
